The Secret Stash

A list of the best secret stashes you could use and how to implement them.
The Best Secret Stashes and Hidden Stash Boxes
Although marijuana is legal in half of the country, there’s still plenty of reason to be paranoid or, should we say, careful about where you leave your stash. Nothing’s worse than being caught with a drug offense because you left some herb in the living room or in your car while being pulled over for a minor traffic violation. Plus, you need to make it harder for ‘guests’ to walk away with your stash. You should most definitely think about investing in one of these quality secret stash boxes.
The Munchie Stash
It sounds stupid, it sounds way too obvious, and yet the classic Pringle’s can is still a quality secret stash container nonetheless. The whole ‘hiding in plain sight’ psychology works. This is one you can easily make yourself or buy one that has a insulated interior for extra protection. The biggest way to screw this stash spot up is by leaving it right next to your lighter on the coffee table or, worse, in between the couch and an end table. Buy a stash can online that can hold your stash and your chips. Other ideas/products are, Peanut butter jar, Oatmeal container, Empty flour/sugar bags and tons more! Just look in your kitchen.
The Educator
Fake books work great as a secret stash. Even if you don’t have an actual book shelf, it will still deter people from picking it up. Books safes offer ample room and most of them are made with a sturdy construction. The best thing i’d say about hidden book safes is that, the good ones, come with a key to keep your stash even harder to get to. It’s important not to put it in a suspicious place where people would ask themselves “What the hell is this doing here” like under your bed, behind a desk etc.. One of the best things you can do is go down to your local thrift store and pick up some extra books so your stash will blend in and not be so obvious.
The Handyman
This is an old classic stash place. If you like to keep a tight ship and prefer not to have a bunch of hidden safes laying around, try rigging a pop-out electrical outlet. You can either attempt to DIY your outlet (not recommended) or purchase a fake outlet that you can place anywhere. They look exactly like the real thing (most use the same plate molds) and are easy to install without needing any electrical experience. The outlet stash doesn’t have a lot of space.
If you’re looking for a bigger stash spot, try rigging a vent safe up. It’s essentially the same concept except tons more room for your goods. These can also be purchase and are easy to install.
Macgyver
There’s a whole slew of household gadgets, appliances, and products out there that act as boring decoys that a thief or cop would never think twice about. Hairbrushes, clocks, WD-40 cans, shaving cream, and even surge protectors. Pedestrian objects are the best secret stashes because you can have it within arm’s reach and no one would ever be the wiser. A nice perk to having a secret stash box for stoners is that sometimes you’ll forget you even had the stash to begin with. It’s like a Christmas present to yourself!
Either way you break it down, secret stash boxes/containers are something everyone should invest in, regardless of what you use it for. Think to yourself, how many houses you’ve been in and completely blind to their secret stash..
